2007 Clinic Information

Boy's Lacrosse Preseason Clinic
Highlands Ranch Metro District
Get ready for the spring season with a skills clinic led by Denver University coach Jamie Munro who will focus on teaching the skills and strategies employed by the most successful coaches and players in lacrosse. The clinic will reinforce critical skills while encouraging players to be creative and innovative in a fun and supportive atmosphere. The session will progress from individual work including stick skills and stick tricks, shooting technique, offensive and defensive footwork, and defensive stick checks into game situations where players can practice new skills against competition. All participants will need to provide shoulder pads, helmet, gloves, arm pads, and a stick. Participants should bring plenty of water!

The clinic will reinforce critical skills while encouraging players to be creative and innovative in a fun and supportive atmosphere. The session will progress from individual work including stick skills, shooting technique, offensive and defensive footwork. All participants will need to provide a stick and goggles. Participants should also bring water.

Boy's Run & Shoot Lacrosse Camps

Elevate your game with drills and techniques used by the pros and Division I college players. University of Denver Head Coach Jamie Munro and his assistants have developed innovative techniques to ensure that you leave camp a better player. Speed, stick skills, shooting, passing, stick checks, and offensive and defensive strategies will be taught in a rapid fire structure. Whether you are a new or an experienced player, this camp will be an unforgettable experience. All campers will be required to bring a stick, mouthpiece, shoulder pads, a helmet, gloves, and arm pads.

Girl's Lacrosse Camp
Highlands Ranch Metro District
Come learn the game of lacrosse, one of the fastest growing team sports. The Metro Districts, in conjunction with Thunderridge High School Coach Alanna Gilbertson, will offer an introductory/intermediate youth lacrosse camp this summer. The camp is geared toward the beginner or intermediate player to teach or reestablish the fundamentals of catching and throwing, ground balls, cradling, shot selection, checking and field position. Fundamentals will be reiterated in drills, and advanced techniques will be introduced aimed at increasing a player's capabilities. All campers will be required to bring a mouthpiece and a stick. The camp is open to girls in grades 1 st – 7 th for beginners and 6 th – 12 th for intermediate.
