- Encourage and promote friendly
relationships and good sportsmanship
by requiring courtesy and proper
decorum
- Comply with all league rules and
regulations
- Secure qualified officials for all
contests
- Insist on safety for all activities,
including proper equipment for all
participants and safety for spectators
- Judge the success of the league on the
basis of attitude, enjoyment, and skill
development of the participants
- Review with all volunteers
sportsmanship expectations
PLAYER CONDUCT
- Be courteous to opposing teams and
officials
- Play hard and to the limit of his/her
ability
- Retain his/her composure and never
leave the bench area to enter a playing
area to engage in unsportsmanlike
physical or verbal behavior
- Be modest when successful and
gracious in defeat
- Play for the love of the game
- Respect the integrity and judgement of
officials and accept their decisions
without question
- Respect the privilege of the use of
public facilities
OFFICIAL CONDUCT
- Know the rules and their interpretation
and administer them
- Report for duty in advance of game
time and dress in specified uniform
- Be impartial and fair, yet firm, in all
decisions
- Refrain from commentary upon play or
game situations
PENALTIES FOR VIOLATING
CODE OF CONDUCT
Individual league rules govern each sport
and league coordinators will act
responsibly in monitoring and enforcing
penalties. The CLL board reserves the
right to enforce penalties on a case by
case basis, if necessary.

COACH CONDUCT
- Demonstrate high ideals, desirable
attitudes, and good sportsmanship and
demand same standards for players
- Maintain self-control at all times,
accepting adverse decisions without
public display of emotion or of
dissatisfaction with the officials
- Emphasize the importance of proper
sideline behavior and the necessity of
restraining from entering the playing
area to engage in unsportsmanlike
physical or verbal behavior
- Promote the purpose of competition;
which is to increase the physical,
mental, emotional and social well
being of players and the value of
competition is derived from playing the
game fairly
- Be modest when successful and
gracious in defeat
- Provide all the players the opportunity
to use and develop initiative,
leadership, and judgement
- Promote the physical condition and
well-being of players, refusing to
jeopardize the health of the individual
- Teach athletes that it is better to lose
fairly than win unfairly
- Refuse to disparage an opponent, an
official or others associated with sports
- Supervise participants under his/her
immediate care
